Cypress Highlights: Thomas became a consistent starter for Cypress her sophomore year starting in 23 games for the Chargers. She increased her scoring production with five 20 plus point games in 2006-07 for 327 points and 11.7 points per game to be Cypress’s second leading scorer. Thomas was second on the team in rebounding with 176. Against San Francisco early in the season, Thomas went 9 for 12 from the field for 23 points while grabbing 11 rebounds for the double-double. Thomas collected four double-doubles on the season.
As a freshman, Thomas earned a starting position late in the season scoring 6.6 points per game with a 43% shooting percentage and a total of 212 points. Thomas pulled down 131 rebounds for an average of 4.1 rebounds per game. Thomas reached a double-double against Saddleback with 12 points and 10 rebounds in just 23 minutes of play. Thomas reached double digits in six games.
High School Highlights: A four year varsity member for Artesia High School, Thomas missed her senior season with an ACL injury. Thomas was a standout forward earning First Team All-League her sophomore and junior year. She earned tournament MVP at the Ayala Extravaganza. She averaged almost a double-double her junior year averaging 16 points and 9 rebounds per game. Her performance earned her a mention as one of the top players in the area by the Los Angeles Times.
